WHY VISIT THAILAND?

BANGKOK
This vibrant, cosmopolitan city is a captivating blend of old and new. Golden, incense-filled temples stand alongside ancient wooden stilt houses and modern five-star hotels. Narrow canals invite exploration by long rowing boats, while bustling markets overflow with street food stalls that are not to be missed.
Culture
Thailand’s rich Buddhist heritage is evident throughout the country, which is home to over 44,000 temples. In Chiang Mai alone, you’ll find more than 300 sacred pagodas and shrines. In the northern highlands, traditional hill tribes continue to live much as they have for centuries, offering a glimpse into a timeless way of life.

Island Hopping
There really is an island for everyone – and each with its fair share of idyllic powdery beaches, surrounded by waters of unimaginable beauty. For peace and quiet head to Phang Nga Bay, close to the Cambodian border, or set sail for the Khao Laem Ya-Mu Ko Samet National Park. Whilst the reefs off the Surin Islands are simply magnificent.
Food
Prepare to be delighted by Thailand’s authentic cuisine, which differs greatly from the Thai food often served in the West. Dishes are typically spicier, thanks to fresh chillies, and beautifully presented. Street food stalls offer fresh, flavorful snacks, while dining at a night market is an unforgettable experience. And remember—never leave rice on your plate, as it is considered the food of the gods.

The Markets
Vibrant and full of character, Thailand’s markets offer an endless array of goods. The floating markets are a particular highlight, with boats overflowing with beautifully arranged fruit, flowers, and freshly prepared food ready for you to enjoy.
