With the azaleas and rhododendrons in full bloom, fringing the clear waters of the lakes, and the temperatures just about perfect, this is one of our favourite times to visit. The gardens are at their best, whilst hiking up into the mountains promises rewarding clear views and the lakeside terraces are uncrowded.

Southern Spain
Temperatures are rising and the Andalucian coastline is irresistible this month. With the summer crowds yet to arrive, the beaches are blissfully quiet and the pools serene. Set sail on the Med aboard a private yacht, or venture inland to explore the charming pueblos blancos nestled in the hills.
